EMERGING CHOREOGRAPHERS
.
How did ‘Emerging Choreographers’ begin at Classical Ballet Academy?
.
Summer 2024. The Advanced Class at the CBA Summer DanceCamp was participating in the Choreographic Class taught by Andrew Rist. The dancers showed a true grasp of creativity and a desire to explore the wonder of movement wrapped around music.
Two dancers, Olive Charais and Beatrice Skulley, were selected to create an original ballet to be presented on Ballet Minnesota’s 36th Minnesota Dance Festival in the Spring of 2025.
The photos below present a glimpse of the first Emerging Choreographers ballet presented on the Festival. To say the least it was a true success.
